Leonard Peltiers Gesundheitszustand verlangt UNSER Handeln – jetzt, sofort, anhaltend, konsequent

Wir haben den Eingangstext des Leonard Peltier Official Ad Hoc Committees etwas modifiziert (;-)) und fügen auch nochmals die website Adresse des LPOAHC sowie die Liste der Ausschussmitglieder an.
Wir, als europäische Peltier-Unterstützer*innen, werden am 12.9.2024 um 19 Uhr unser nächstes Zoom-Meeting der Europe for Peltier 2024 Coalition haben. Wir sollten europaweit unsere Aktionen bündeln, klar strukturieren und gut vorbereiten, um möglichst effektiv und zeitnah unseren Beitrag im Kampf für Leonard Peltiers Gesundheit und Freiheit zu leisten.

Coleman 1 ist nicht in der Lage, Leonard Peltier die notwendige medizinische Versorgung zukommen zu lassen.

Unbefristete Haftstrafen haben die Krankheiten, an denen Leonard Peltier leidet, verschlimmert. Diabetes. Zeitweilige Blindheit. Ein Aortenaneurysma. Schlafapnoe. Kraftverlust in seinen Gliedmaßen. Eine Prostata-Infektion und noch erheblich mehr.

Die Gefängnisbeamten haben Leonard Peltier tatsächlich ein CPAP-Gerät gegen die Schlafapnoe gegeben. Es gibt jedoch keine Steckdose, an die man es anschließen könnte.

Zusammengenommen werden diese Bedingungen Leonard Peltier das Leben kosten, wenn wir es zulassen.

Wir müssen Leonard lange genug am Leben erhalten, damit er auf dem Rechtsweg freikommt.

Der Justizausschuss des US-Senats ist ein ständiger Ausschuss von 21 US-Senatoren, dessen Aufgabe es ist, das Justizministerium zu beaufsichtigen.

Der Justizausschuss ist die einzige Regierungsinstanz der Vereinigten Staaten, die eingreifen kann. Selbst der Bewährungshelfer konnte nur nachdrücklich empfehlen, dass Leonard Peltier für eine medizinische Verlegung begutachtet werden sollte.

Nachstehend finden Sie/findet Ihr eine Liste der Ausschussmitglieder. Wir bitten Sie/Euch, sich mit Senator Durbin, Senator Ossoff oder falls Sie Bürger*in der USA ein sollten, mit Ihrem Senator, falls dieser in oben genannten Ausschuss sitzen sollte, in Verbindung zu setzen und sie aufzufordern/bitten sofort zu intervenieren.

Unten finden Sie einen Musterbrief. Verwenden Sie Ihre eigenen Worte, aber bitte, sagen Sie etwas. Jetzt ist es an der Zeit.

Wir bitten unsere Freund*innen in Übersee (Leute, das richtet sich an uns…wir werden am 12.8. bei einem Zoom Meeting der Europe for Peltier 2024 Coalition hierüber reden) , das Büro des Hochkommissars für Menschenrechte und Sonderberichterstatter für Folter der Vereinten Nationen zu kontaktieren und sie zu bitten, zu intervenieren, da die US-Regierung bisher nicht reagiert hat.

Leonard Peltier’s medical condition demands OUR action – now, immediately, persistently, consistently

We have slightly modified the initial text of the Leonard Peltier Official Ad Hoc Committee (;-)) and also add the website address of the LPOAHC and the list of committee members.
We, as European Peltier supporters, will have our next Zoom meeting of the Europe for Peltier 2024 Coalition on 12 September 2024 at 7 pm. We should bundle our actions across Europe, structure them clearly and prepare well in order to make our contribution to the fight for Leonard Peltier’s health and freedom as effectively and promptly as possible.

Coleman 1 is unable to provide Leonard Peltier with the medical care he needs.

Indefinite prison sentences have exacerbated the illnesses Leonard Peltier suffers from. Diabetes. Temporary blindness. An aortic aneurysm. Sleep apnoea. Loss of strength in his limbs. A prostate infection and considerably more.

Prison officials actually gave Leonard Peltier a CPAP machine for the sleep apnoea. However, there is no outlet to plug it into.

Taken together, these conditions will cost Leonard Peltier his life if we let them.

We need to keep Leonard alive long enough for him to be released through the legal process.

The U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee is a standing committee of 21 U.S. Senators whose job it is to oversee the Department of Justice.

The Judiciary Committee is the only government body in the United States that can intervene. Even the parole officer could only strongly recommend that Leonard Peltier be evaluated for a medical transfer.

Below you will find a list of the committee members. We ask that you contact Senator Durbin, Senator Ossoff, or if you are a U.S. citizen, your Senator if they sit on the above committee, and urge/ask them to intervene immediately.

Below you will find a sample letter. Use your own words, but please, say something. Now is the time.

We are asking our friends overseas (folks, this is directed at us…we will be talking about this at a Zoom meeting of the Europe for Peltier 2024 Coalition on 12 August) to contact the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and Special Rapporteur on Torture and ask them to intervene, as the US government has not yet responded.

Noi, come sostenitori europei di Peltier, terremo la prossima riunione Zoom della Coalizione Europa per Peltier 2024 il 12 settembre 2024 alle ore 19.00. I funzionari del carcere hanno dato a Leonard Peltier una macchina CPAP per l’apnea del sonno. Tuttavia, non c’è una presa di corrente a cui collegarla.

Nel loro insieme, queste condizioni costeranno la vita a Leonard Peltier se glielo permetteremo.

Dobbiamo tenere Leonard in vita abbastanza a lungo da permettergli di essere rilasciato attraverso il processo legale.

La Commissione Giudiziaria del Senato degli Stati Uniti è una commissione permanente composta da 21 senatori statunitensi il cui compito è quello di supervisionare il Dipartimento di Giustizia.

La Commissione giudiziaria è l’unico organo governativo degli Stati Uniti che può intervenire. Anche l’ufficiale per la libertà vigilata ha potuto solo raccomandare vivamente che Leonard Peltier fosse valutato per un trasferimento medico.

Chiediamo ai nostri amici d’oltreoceano (gente, questo è rivolto a noi… ne parleremo alla riunione Zoom della Coalizione Europa per Peltier 2024 il 12 agosto) di contattare l’Ufficio dell’Alto Commissario delle Nazioni Unite per i Diritti Umani e il Relatore Speciale sulla Tortura e chiedere loro di intervenire, dato che il governo statunitense non ha ancora risposto.
